It includes three layers of sound-absorbing material—two layers of poron and one IXPE layer. IXPE, or irradiation cross-linked polyethylene, is a lightweight, shock-absorbing, and moisture-resistant foam used for cushioning and sound dampening within the keyboard.

Glorified Paperweight
I've had a few das keyboards over the years, 6 professional and a 4 ultimate. This keyboard is awful compared to the ones I've had in the past. Constantly I having to unplug the keyboard and plug it back in. It lags and types multiple letters at a time occasionally. I loved my old das keyboards but this one is not worth the trouble I have had. Pretty disappointed with my purchase. It works great when it does, but when it doesn't it's awful. I supported the launch of this keyboard off Kickstarter, despite the constant pushbacks and delays. I constantly have to flash it and reset it using QMK. For the price you could get something else that actually works consistently. It also runs on its own software on VIA and it is not supported by Signal RGB....

The form factor and functionality of this thing alone make well it worth the price - I've been using 2 of the 4 layers and 5 of the 16 macros for my workflow and the benefits are out of this world. Keys are silky smooth in feel and click. The sound - my LORD is heaven. It's not what you would expect from the description, it's 1000x better. I have to add that Das Keyboard's customer service is top notch. Very responsive, very helpful. Wildly satisfied customer here. Great Solid Keyboard
I recently started collecting keyboards and I must say that these are the most solid ones yet. I originally purchased one and already bought a second one and received it. The customer support from a company I never heard of since kickstart is amazing. I backed originally and the quality after release is the same! These are great, type well, and will fit well in gaming or office environment. I plan on picking up a 3rd design as my travel keyboard since it has a few extra keys that I prefer.

Originally purchased just the Cyber Camo (best one imo) but purchased Desert Kamo. I think all patterns are great, i've found excuses to get more for my set ups. At work set up and gaming set up are amazing. Now I just need another one as a travel keyboard since it's a great compact size.
